Information CoverSignal collects

CoverSignal collects the information needed to operate a book-cover test: the email address supplied by the customer, the two cover images submitted for testing, test configuration and status, payment and transaction references supplied by payment providers, and performance data produced by the advertising test. CoverSignal may also receive ordinary technical information such as request logs, browser type, IP address, and timestamps when the website is used.

How information is used

This information is used to validate submissions, operate paid advertising, measure cover click-through rates, deliver the results, provide support, prevent misuse, maintain security, and comply with legal or accounting obligations. Cover artwork and test results are not sold. Test traffic is analyzed in aggregate, and readers who see an advertisement are not given the author's contact information or private test details.

Service providers and retention

Service providers may process limited information when they host the site, deliver email, process payments, store files, or operate advertising. They receive only the information reasonably needed for their function and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations. Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the test, support, security, dispute handling, and applicable legal requirements.

Your choices

To request access, correction, export, or deletion of your information or submitted artwork, email hello@coversignal.io from the address used for the test. Some records may be retained when required for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or law. CoverSignal is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

Changes and questions

This policy may be updated as the service or its providers change. Material updates will be reflected by the date above. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@coversignal.io.
